Remy Siemsen credits Sydney FC with helping her find her goal-scoring groove ahead of this weekend’s Sydney Derby against former club Western Sydney Wanderers.
Siemsen, 20, wore the Red and Black during 2018/19 but the Manly United junior has flourished since rejoining the Sky Blues, with whom she started her Westfield W-League career in 2016.
The forward leads the Golden Boot charts with seven goals in nine games under the guidance of head coach Ante Juric.
“I’ve been enjoying my football and I think that’s why the goals are coming a lot more naturally this season,” she told w-league.com.au
“I’m getting a lot more game time which I’m super grateful for.
“I’m surrounded by a great group and it’s a great culture. I think Ante has really instilled that.”

Sydney host rivals Wanderers at 5.00pm AEDT at Cromer Park on Saturday with revenge and more on their minds.
The reigning Champions were dispatched 5-0 in December’s reverse fixture in Parramatta and the Sky Blues will leapfrog the Wanderers into second if they emerge victorious.
Moreover, a win over the Wanderers would give Sydney a huge confidence boost ahead of their run to the Finals Series.
“Every team wants to get into a finals berth and we’re on our way.
“If we can keep that momentum going and get a few wins under our belt, we’ll hit our stride and make it to the Grand Final and hopefully win it,” she said.

And although entering the Finals Series with wind in their sails is priority number one for the Sky Blues, vengeance for December’s crushing loss will be firmly on the agenda.
“We knew that it was going to be a difficult game. They played an interesting formation that we now have adjusted to.
“We can turn it around. It gave us a bit of motivation to come back bigger and better.”
