Nick Ward is one of four Perth Glory players released as coach Alistair Edwards begins to re-shape his squad.
Perth Glory coach Alistair Edwards said it was an extremely tough decision to release the players, with Ward, Dean Heffernan, Evan Berger and Lewis Italiano all on the way out of nib Stadium.
“I-d really like to thank all four players for their services to Perth Glory,” Edwards said.
“It was a tough decision because all four players are quality people and good professionals.
“Unfortunately though, we need to make the necessary changes as we continue to implement our long term plan.
Glory are still in discussions with Liam Miller, Steven McGarry, Ryo Nagai and Matias Cordoba who also come out of contract at the end of this month.
