Daniel Adlung said Adelaide coach Marco Kurz’s words at the break inspired their side to a sensational 2-2 comeback against Central Coast.
The Mariners looked to be cruising, up 2-0 after 53 minutes against a 10-man Reds who lost defender Ursan Gulum after 18 minutes.

But the belief was there from the Reds in front of their home fans who roared on the side on Saturday.
“We tried to play our game and in the half time we said, ‘we have to come back. We have a big chance’,” the German midfielder told Fox Sports.
“Then we concede a second goal but we always believed in our quality and today was good in the end.
“We had a lot of comebacks this season, but this game was really hard because the pitch wasn’t the best and we are for almost the whole game one man down.
“So compliments to the boys and I think we deserved the point.”
Kurz elaborated on his half-time talk, telling Fox he instilled belief into his players who he knew would fight to the end.
“I said to the boys, feel confident, believe in our chances and play one against one in the whole pitch.
“We needed only one more goal and we’d have more power at the end of the game,” he said.
“The quality of the team is also to fight for a goal and for the second goal it wasn’t easy but everybody knows now that’s one of our qualities, to fight to the end of a game.”
The Reds next play Victory away on Saturday at AAMI Park.
