Garriock nabbed the former Westfield Young Matilda from Western Sydney Wanderers and is confident she can quickly slot into a team boasting big ambitions.
“Olivia has plenty of experience for a 22-year old and is an excellent addition to the side,” the Canberra coach told the club website.
“She fits in well with what we are looking to achieve this season which is to win trophies, and I fully believe Olivia can help us achieve that goal.”
The new arrival could be thrown straight into the action when the capital club host Grand Final winners Melbourne City at McKellar Park on Sunday.
Price cited Garriock’s presence as a clear chance to learn from one of Australia’s finest ever midfielders.
“I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to play for Canberra United, and to work with a coach like Heather,” Price said.
“I’m just really looking forward to the season starting and getting out on the pitch!”
