Western United FC have got their man with experienced former Italian international Alessandro Diamanti officially signing with the Hyundai A-League newcomers on Thursday.
The 36-year-old was unveiled at a press conference this morning, presented with the number 23 jersey and catching up with fellow United recruit Panagiotis Kone, who he played with at Seria A clubs Brescia and Bologna.

The addition of the classy diamanti is seen as one of the club’s final moves to ensure their debut season in the Hyundai A-League in 2019/20 is a huge success.
“I have played all around the world, with world class clubs and team mates, and Western United stood out to me…hearing how they plan on having an impact in their first season in the A-League,” Diamanti said.
