Fans of Western Sydney Wanderers got the chance to see the club’s new home ground – Bankwest Stadium – up close and personal with the venue opening its doors for the first time on Sunday.
The 30,000-seat arena was officially opened by the Premier of New South Wales, Gladys Berejiklian, with a community open day allowing fans to get a look inside.

The state-of-the-art stadium proudly claims ‘it will bring fans closer to the action more than ever before in Australia’ and features the steepest grandstands in the country.

The Wanderers will play their first match there on July 20 in a high-profile friendly against English club Leeds United.
