Brisbane Roar’s French recruit Eric Bautheac is Australia-bound after being cleared to head down under.
Bautheac, 30, signed for the Roar more than a month ago but his trip to Brisbane had been delayed while the Frenchman’s immigration was finalised.
The talented winger, who joins the Roar as a free agent from Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille, will join his teammates in the coming days.
He brings more than a decade of top-flight experience to Brisbane’s Hyundai A-League side, having spent the majority of his professional career in France’s elite club football competition.
Playing primarily as a left winger, the pacey attacker made a total of 172 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring 26 goals and creating 25 assists at stints with AS Cannes, Dijon, Nice and Lille.
The 30-year-old also spent seven seasons as a youth player at fellow Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne and has played in the UEFA Europa League and will provide an attacking spark and invaluable experience to the Roar line-up.
