FFA meets with Hyundai A-League Club Chairmen

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has met with Hyundai A-League club chairmen to discuss changes to its constitution which would expand representation of key stakeholders in the sport’s Congress in Australia.

A number of issues regarding the future structure of the game were also canvassed during the three hour meeting.  Further discussion will occur over the next few weeks.

FFA intends to hold an extraordinary general meeting of the Congress by the end of March to consider a special resolution to amend the Constitution of FFA based on the outcome of the stakeholder consultation process.  It will meet with the Professional Footballers’ Association on Friday.

The meeting also discussed collaboratively the need to change the current operating and ownership structure of the Hyundai A-League in order to attract more investment and increase the value of the league.

FFA will provide an update on its discussions with stakeholders to its Board at a meeting on Saturday.
