Football Federation Australia has today announced the Westfield W-League semi final featuring 2015/16 Premiers Melbourne City will be played as a double header with the Hyundai A-League match at AAMI Park on Monday 25 January.
Melbourne City has already secured its place at the top of the W-League ladder and with home ground advantage secured has worked with FFA to play the match as a double header to the Melbourne City v Wellington Phoenix match.
Both matches in the double header will be broadcast live on FOX Sports with ABC TV also broadcasting the W-League match live.
The congested nature of the W-League ladder means Melbourne City can face Brisbane Roar, Adelaide United or Newcastle Jets as the regular season comes to a conclusion at the end of next weekend. Canberra United has already claimed second place and Sydney FC has secured third.
The other semi final will see Canberra United take on Sydney FC with the two teams to face off at Canberra’s McKellar Park at 2pm on Sunday 24 January. This match will also be broadcast live on FOX Sports and ABC TV.
