FFA announces new partnership with rebel

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today announced that Australia’s leading sporting and leisure equipment, apparel and footwear retailer, rebel, will be the supporting partner of the Westfield W-League as well as the naming rights partner for the Play Football campaign and Female Football week for the next three years.

Speaking at today’s announcement FFA CEO David Gallop welcomed rebel and their parent company, the Super Retail Group, to the football family.

“To have a business with the size and reputation of rebel as a new partner is certainly a major coup for football in Australia,” said Gallop.

“With over 32 years of experience and over 160 stores nationwide, rebel has a genuine passion for a healthy lifestyle and providing their customers with what they need.

“Rebel has also proved themselves as a long-standing and proud supporter of women in sport and has worked actively to lift the profile of female players and promote grassroots participation.

“We are looking forward to partnering with rebel to increase grass roots participation and champion our elite female athletes within the Westfield W-League.

“This new partnership further reinforces rebel’s position as the ‘home of football’ in the Australia and we will be working closely with them to engage with football fans with compelling offers and activations, in particular rebel’s popular ‘rebel women’ content series will celebrate Westfield W-league players, working to further elevate the profile of female athletes and providing a platform to tell their stories,” concluded Gallop.

Erica Berchtold, rebel’s Managing Director, was equally enthusiastic about the upcoming partnership with FFA.
