The 34-year-old defender has been in camp with his team-mates for several days as the 20-time English league champion continues its preparations its 2013/14 campaign.
After suffering a 1-0 defeat to a Singha All Star XI in Bangkok last week, the focus for Manchester United has turned to the best of Australia’s domestic competition.
For the All Stars’ 20-man squad, Ferdinand has a concise message.
“We’re gonna beat you, man!” said Ferdinand with a chuckle.
“We want to get fit, that’s the most important thing and don’t pick up any injuries.
“We want to put on a good show for the fans that are coming to see us and hopefully we can score a few goals for them.”
