Rosie Sutton has been an important addition to the Wanderers’ in the Westfield W-League this season, notching her first goal in her second game to gift Western Sydney their first win of the campaign.
She was signed from Perth Glory before the beginning of the 2017-18 Westfield W-League season, after scoring seven goals in 14 appearances.
We sat down with the 27-year-old as part of our “One on One” series, talking everything from footballing inspiration, to her toughest opponents in the competition and the growth of the Westfield W-League in recent years.
“The W-League is a lot more professional now,” Sutton said.
“I think, especially in the coming years, children and young girls who are growing up can have a career in professional football.
“It’s just improving every season and it’s great for women’s sport in Australia.”
