On the eve of the kick off to Hyundai A-League 2017/18 Season, the name Besart Berisha still looms large as the league’s most talked about footballer.
His never-say-die spirit, his goals, his celebrations – he’s a true superstar of the competition at one of the most successful and biggest outfits in the A-League, Melbourne Victory.
Victory fans love him. Opposition fans love to hate him (though they’d do anything to have him lead the line at their club).
Berisha is a true character, the ultimate professional and, of course, he is now an A-League legend after hitting the magical 100 goals mark last season from his time at Brisbane Roar before his move south to the Big V.
And this season, Berisha has redemption on his mind after his and Victory’s A-League Grand Final heartache in Sydney last May.
Here in our new “Extra Time” series where we speak with the game’s biggest names, “Bes” opens up about his career in the A-League, his life and his future.
