‘Everything I’ve ever dreamed of’ – Mariners forward inks two-year extension

Jordan Murray wants to reward Central Coast Mariners with goals in abundance after inking a two-year contract extension with the Hyundai A-League club today.

Former APIA Leichhardt marksman Murray, 23, swapped his electrician’s tools for a place in the Mariners front-line when picked up by the Gosford club in April 2018, his first shot at professional football.

Since then, the Wollongong-born striker has scored three goals in 11 starts and was the man who sparked the Mariners’ incredible 3-2 F3 Derby triumph over rivals Newcastle Jets in March.

And after a season of adjusting to the requirements of full time professional football, Murray wants to kick on again next campaign – and ramp up his goal tally for the Mariners.

“This season for me has been a season to understand and learn as much as I can. Now it’s time to put it all into play,” Murray told the club’s official website.

“What I have in front of me is a rare opportunity. I’m very grateful, so now it’s up to me to give it all back to this club, to the fans and whack in a heap more goals.
