Sydney FC boss Graham Arnold has praised his table-topping squad for their improving efficiency in front of goal following Monday night’s demolition of Adelaide United.
The Sky Blues hit four for the second straight week at Coopers Stadium, lifting their haul to eight goals and six points across two consecutive away trips.
“We’ve been ruthless,” Arnold told Fox Sports.

“We had a couple of weeks there where we weren’t killing the opposition off, we weren’t taking our chances early in games. We looked at that.
“When you have competition for places and the key indicator is performance, players will push each other.
“It’s a joy to watch.”
Though his side are enjoying an impeccable 12-match unbeaten run, Arnold indicated he was open to welcoming new faces during the January transfer window.
“You’re always looking to improve the squad. You’re getting phone calls from agents all the time,” he said.
“I’m delighted with the boys we’ve got and the way they’re working.
“We’ve had a great start but it’s only 12 weeks (and there are) still 15 to go. We want to get better and better and keep this up.”
