Adelaide United have signed 24-year-old winger Dylan Pierias on a three-year deal.
Pierias has joined his fourth Isuzu UTE A-League club after stints at Melbourne City, Western United and Western Sydney Wanderers.
A debutant with Melbourne City at the age of 16, Pierias – the first player born in the 21st century to feature in the Isuzu UTE A-League – has amassed 122 league appearances through his seven seasons in the competition, and has arrived at Adelaide as an experienced squad member despite being just 24 years of age.
Pierias is a one-time Isuzu UTE A-League Champion, having come off the bench in Western United’s Grand Final win over Melbourne City in 2022. As he joined Adelaide on a long-term deal, the pacy winger revealed his intention to “put down roots” in the city; Pierias and his fiancé Ella are expecting the birth of their firstborn child.
“I’m really excited to be playing in front of that Coopers Stadium crowd and to bring that direct style of football that I like to play,” he said.
“I have that pace down the wing and I’m trying to be as exciting as I can for the Adelaide United fans.”
“One of the major reasons I wanted to come to Adelaide is to put down some roots. I’m really excited to be moving to Adelaide and having my new little family there.”

Pierias is an Australian youth international who represented the nation with the Olyroos at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Adelaide head coach Carl Veart says the club has acquired a versatile forward whose comfort in multiple positions has made him a valuable signing.
“Dylan is someone that I’ve known for quite some time, having worked with him as a junior player in the National Team setup.” said Veart.
“He will provide a lot of speed in our attack and gives us that flexibility in our front line.”
