Melbourne City FC have confirmed that Damien Duff will be sidelined after the winger sustained a calf injury in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Brisbane Roar in the Hyundai A-League.
Duff was replaced at half-time in the Round 9 match and scans on Tuesday revealed the former Ireland international had suffered a tear, which will rule him out of action until the New Year.
The 35-year-old joined City from English Premier League club Fulham in the off-season and has notched a league-high four assists in 2014-15.
Duff has started all nine matches Melbourne City FC has played this season, registering 766 minutes for the Club.
