Melbourne City goalkeeper Teagan Micah collected Westfield W-League Goalkeeper of the Year honours at the Dolan Warren Awards on Wednesday night.
A mix of votes from a panel of experts and the Julie Dolan Medal votes won by the highest ranked goalkeepers were used to adjudge the two custodians as joint-recipients of the award for the 2020/21 A-League season.
In a horror season for the reigning Champions, City shot-stopper Micah held her head high to perform valiantly throughout eight losses, one win and a draw.
Micah made 33 saves from 51 shots faced throughout the season, including eight in a 0-0 draw with Brisbane Roar and nine in a slender 3-2 loss to the same opponent later in the campaign. Micah made four or more saves in more than half (five) of her performances throughout the 2020/21 season.
The City goalkeeper made her Westfield Matildas debut against Sweden earlier this month, continuing the 23-year-old’s promising development as an up-and-coming talent.
