Club legend Diego Castro has signed on for another two seasons with the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Premiers Perth Glory.
The 36-year-old attacking midfielder has underlined his value once again this season, scoring six goals and registering four assists in 19 appearances for Tony Popovic’s side as they have romped to their first silverware of the Hyundai A-League era.

Named team captain at the start of the current season, the former Johnny Warren Medal-winner is approaching four years with the club he joined from Spanish Primera Liga outfit Getafe in August 2015.
“I have had a fantastic emotional relationship with the members and fans since the first day I arrived here,” the man who is affectionately known as ‘El Maestro’ said. “And I want to keep that love story with the fans going.
“Now I want to help the club add another trophy to the Premiers’ Plate.”

Perth Glory chief executive officer Tony Pignata is thrilled that Castro has put pen to paper on a new deal.
“It’s fantastic that Diego will be able to cement his legacy in terms of what he and the club have achieved and are going to achieve in the future,” Pignata said.
