Defender Shane Lowry has been named Perth Glory’s Hyundai A-League Player of the Season at the club’s annual awards on Friday night.
The former Socceroo claimed the ‘Most Glorious Player’ honour after a superb campaign at the heart of the Glory defence.
In an inconstant campaign riddled by injuries, Lowry was a rock for Kenny Lowe’s side and made 20 appearances for the WA outfit, scoring one goal.
A rock in the heart of the defence, throwing his body on the line at any time of asking 👊

Lowry’s honour ends the dominance of Spanish star Diego Castro, with the midfielder winning back-to-back player of the season awards in recent years.
The 28-year-old completed the double for the Glory after also being named the Players’ Player of the season.
Adam Taggart claimed the Golden Boot as the club’s top goal-scorer with nine goals, while Sam Kerr was named Glory’s W-League Player of the Season.
He scored often and consistently with a touch of class 👌
