Thomas Broich

The German lit up the Hyundai A-League when he arrived in 2010/11, helping Brisbane Roar win three Championships in four seasons, as well as claiming the Premier’s Plate in two of those campaigns.

Former Brisbane Roar star Thomas Broich will go into coaching with Queensland club Brisbane City.

He won the Johnny Warren Medal in 2011/12 and 2013/14, was named Brisbane’s player of the year three times and picked up the Joe Marston Medal in the 2013/14 Grand Final.

In all, he played 181 times across seven seasons for the Roar and will go down as one of the competition’s true icons.

Mark Milligan

The Caltex Socceroos captain has mixed his time in the Hyundai A-League with stints overseas, but there’s no doubt about his influence on the Australian clubs he’s represented.

During spells with Sydney FC, Newcastle and most notably Melbourne Victory, the combative and inspirational midfielder has played 126 games.

Caltex Socceroo Mark Milligan is back in the Hyundai A-League after signing with Melbourne Victory.

A sublime performance in the 2014/15 Grand Final saw him win the Joe Marston Medal, capping a season where he led Victory to the Premiership / Championship double.

Carlos Hernandez

The Costa Rican genius was brought to Melbourne Victory by Ernie Merrick ahead of the 2007/08 season and immediately caught the eye with his audacious skills.

In 2009/10 he was simply sensational, scoring 13 goals in 28 games and winning the Johnny Warren Medal as Victory reached the Grand Final.

On his day, he was as good as any player to ever feature in the Hyundai A-League and his highlights reel would grace most football competitions in the world.

Marcelo Carrusca

Has there been a better sight in Hyundai A-League history than the Argentinean in full flight?

During his five seasons at Adelaide United, the magnificent attacker provided multiple moments of mastery and magic for the Reds faithful.

In all, he scored 25 goals in 114 appearances and was a key man in Adelaide’s Premiership / Championship double-winning season in 2015/16.

Former Adelaide United midfielder Marcelo Carrusca has officially become an Australian citizen.

John Hutchinson

He was “Mr Mariners” for ten seasons at Gosford, racking up 228 appearances for the club.

His energy, ability and drive saw him play in three Hyundai A-League Grand Finals, lifting the 2012/13 Championship and two Premierships.

Rarely has there been a more loyal and consistent player, with his performances in Central Coast’s engine-room earning him cult status with the fans.
