Perth Glory young gun Daniel De Silva has been granted permission to chase his dream of playing European football, with a transfer to an unnamed club in the offing.
Glory announced this afternoon that the 17-year-old would travel overseas to consider an opportunity with a European club.
De Silva has departed Perth today, along with his family, to talk to key representatives of this club.
“We can all agree that Danny is an exceptional talent that has had major interest from abroad, and we feel that it is our moral obligation, as a Club, to best facilitate his future as best we can” said Perth Glory CEO Jason Brewer.
“It is also important to remember that Daniel is contracted with us until July 2015, and he will remain with the Club until he is 18,” Brewer concluded.
De Silva will not be available for selection for Glory’s next two Hyundai A-League matches as the club attempts to pull itself off the bottom of the ladder.
The Young Socceroo will be relieved from club duties from March 21 until March 29 whilst he and his family are overseas.
