Spanish superstar David Villa has completed his first training session with Melbourne City as he prepares to begin his 10-game guest stint in the Hyundai A-League season ahead of City’s opener against Sydney FC on Saturday night.
Villa touched down in Melbourne on Sunday and immediately met City coach John van ’t Schip and the rest of the club’s staff.
He then took part in City’s training session on Monday, meeting his new team-mates and settling in over a team lunch.
