Workhorse Wellington Phoenix striker David Ball has been voted the Hyundai A-League Player of the Month for February.
The Englishman has been one of Wellington’s most consistent performers in 2019/20 but took that to a new level last month.
Despite starting February with a defeat against Perth Glory, Phoenix responded in their next match, recording a 1-0 win over Melbourne City.
Brisbane Roar boss Robbie Fowler took out Coach of the Month honours.
And it was Ball who scored the all-important goal, finishing off after strong work by compatriot Gary Hooper.
Ball delivered another all-action display in Phoenix’s 2-0 in over Western United FC on February 21, icing the victory a well-taken stoppage time strike.
