Could Barca and Brazil star Dani Alves finish his career in the A-Leagues?

He is the most decorated player in the history of football with 46 titles at senior level, and 47 overall.

Six LaLiga titles and three Champions League crowns as a Barcelona player, a Scudetto with Juventus and a Ligue 1 during his time at Paris Saint-Germain. Not to mention Copa America and Olympic Games glory with Brazil.

That’s just a taste of Dani Alves’ honours list as he graces Australian shores with Barcelona.

Dani Alves is in Sydney for Barca’s showdown against the A-Leagues All Stars at Accor Stadium on Wednesday.

So for a player who has won it all in world football, could we see the charismatic 39-year-old end his career in the Isuzu UTE A-League?

“Have something for me here?,” Dani Alves joked in response when asked about a possible farewell tour in Australia.

“Why not, everything’s possible in this life.”

“I am in the best club in the world, I want to enjoy being in the best club in the world, in the future who knows,” he added.

LaLiga powerhouse Barca are touring Australia for the first time in their illustrious history.

Xavi has brought a star-studded 20-man squad to Sydney, including Dani Alves, Sergio Busquets, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Frenkie de Jong, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Memphis Depay, Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembele.

“Every moment for Barcelona is a privilege everybody must understand we are a big club…not just the result but the image is (important),” said head coach and club great Xavi.

“Barca is universal. We have many fans around the world… We are here for them.

“To show our best face, best level, in the end we are playing for our supporters, our fans… the most important thing is to make people happy.”
