Wellington Phoenix’s Costa Rican international forward Kenny Cunningham has tweeted he’s leaving the New Zealand Hyundai A-League club.
Cunningham was a 78th minute substitute for Phoenix in Sunday’s Elimination Final, where they lost 2-0 at home to Melbourne City FC, thereby ending their season.
The 29-year-old scored twice off the bench in the final game of the home and away rounds to help Phoenix to a 3-2 win over the Mariners.
