Steve Corica says Sydney FC are locked and loaded for Tuesday night’s glamour friendly with Paris Saint-Germain and beyond, revealing the club’s transfer business is ‘pretty much done’.
Corica has led a sensational summer of recruitment for the Hyundai A-League Champions, adding Kosta Barbarouses, Alexander Baumjohann and Luke Brattan to the club’s 2019/20 roster.

The big-name trio have arrived from league rivals Melbourne Victory, Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne City respectively, while Australian international defender Ryan McGowan has also been acquired.
“We’ve got maybe one more player but at the moment I’m quite happy with what we’ve got,” Corica said on Monday, ahead of Tuesday evening’s clash with PSG.

“And I’m going to wait a little while now just to see how we go in pre-season and we’ll see after that.
“Otherwise we’ll wait until January to freshen up the squad.”

Corica has backed the Sky Blues to show their quality in front of a global audience against Ligue 1 champions PSG, who boast one of the most expensively assembled rosters in world football, headlined by World Cup-winning French prodigy Kylian Mbappe.

And although illness has swept through the Sydney squad following their arrival in China on Saturday night, Corica expects nothing less than his side to seize the moment to put Australian football on the map.

“This is a great challenge for our boys, and it’s an opportunity for them to show what Australian football is like and how good a player they really are,” he said.
“We want to put on a very good performance for Australian football.”

Corica also said he expected captain Alex Wilkinson and midfielder Brandon O’Neill to train on Monday ahead of Tuesday night’s kick off. Both were among the players and staff affected by the bug.
However, defenders Michael Zullo and Patrick Flotmann are unlikely to take part.
