Community All Stars recognised

While anticipation is growing for the Foxtel A-League All Stars blockbuster clash with Manchester United, the lead-up to the game will be just as special for a host of Community All Stars who will get a once in a lifetime chance in coming days.

While anticipation is growing for the Foxtel A-League All Stars blockbuster clash with Manchester United, the lead-up to the game will be just as special for a host of Community All Stars who will get a once in a lifetime chance in coming days.

As part of the Foxtel A-League All Stars Community Program, Football Federation Australia (FFA) will be rewarding All Stars in local community clubs, from canteen staff to the club president, by running a number of initiatives aimed at promoting the grassroots level of football in Australia.

The 20 public appearances will see Foxtel A-League All Stars players head to local clubs where they will reach up to 1,200 football community members spread across 12 of the Sydney Associations.
There will be the Future All Stars and Local Club Coach All Stars programs, whereby players and coaches alike will partake in training clinics and coaching masterclasses as they to learn from some of the best footballers in the country.

The FFA will also be running a Hyundai Football Clinic, Parramatta City Football Challenge, African Youth Football Clinic and Granville Youth Centre initiative, while 400 of Australia-s talented Future All Stars from the SAP program will take part in a clinic and have special VIP access to our All Star players.

The FFA-s All Star Community Coaches will also be heading out to four All Star Schools who have done such a great job in promoting our game and supporting their students, while 15 Community All Stars will also be invited to be part of the All Stars Dinner.

We know that the Foxtel All Stars players would not be here today without having had the support of their local clubs, with these community programs looking to repay the wonderful job those involved in grassroots football are doing for the next generation of football stars.

Football players and fans alike that are not participating in these programs can still see the Foxtel A-League All Stars at their open training session on Sunday 14 July from 9.30am at Sydney Olympic Park Warm Up Arena.
