Adelaide City will compete in the Westfield FFA Cup 2014 after a 4-1 win over West Adelaide in the South Australian Federation Cup Final.

A first half double from Joel Allwright followed by two second half Alex Rideout goals gave Adelaide City back-to-back Federation Cup titles, their 17th overall, and qualification into the last 32 of the Westfield FFA Cup.

Nathan Andijanto pegged a goal back for West Adelaide early in the second half to close the deficit after Allwright-s brace in the opening 45 minutes, but their hopes of a comeback were severely dented by the sending off of Tom Guttormsen.

The game was somewhat of a trip down memory lane as the two former NSL clubs battled it out on South Australian football-s big stage.
