While the real contest will be on the pitch, City were happy to kick-off the mind games by posting a photo of rapper Drake dressed in Adelaide United gear.

The famous rapper has gained quite a reputation as being a ‘curse’ to sporting teams or athletes he supports.

City kept it going with another tweet as they awaited a response from the Reds.

Adelaide United kept it going with a post of their own, before City’s media team hit back soon after.
