Hi Jets Members and Supporters

This week we were pleased to extend our partnership with Gentleman Outfitters in Charlestown, who will be the official menswear partner for the Jets players, coaching staff and management.

Defender Tarek Elrich, Hunter Sports Group GM of Sponsorship, Mark Duffield-Thomas and I went in store to try on the suits.

As always, it was great to catch up with my good friend Andy Roberts, who is the Managing Director and always ensures we look sharp in our suits.

The team had an impressive 9-0 victory over the Bankstown Lions on Wednesday night , which makes it four out of four wins for the team. What a great start this is to the Jets pre-season and with five more fixtures left to play I am confident the team will continue to find success on the pitch.

I look forward to sharing with you future plans the Jets have to partner up with the University of Newcastle to promote physical activity and nutrition in youth. I will keep you updated as this partnership progresses.

This week we announced our Women-s League coaches; Zane Clayton is Head Coach and Joey Peters our assistant. Cheryl Salisbury is on our Advisory Board and will have a particular focus on the W-League. We were thrilled with the interest shown for our coaching position and excited to have such experienced and high caliber people join our Club.

We will be sitting down in the next few weeks to identify key players to retain and attract to Newcastle for our W-League team and I have every confidence that Cheryl, Joey and Clayton will do a fantastic job with the team.

My right hand man, Brent Anderson has fallen sick with glandular fever. We wish him a speedy recovery.
