The Jets trial match against Sydney FC at Cessnock Sportsground was announced this week. We hope everyone will come along on September 17th for what is set to be an entertaining encounter between our Jets and Sydney FC.
During the week I had some very positive meetings with Northern NSW regarding our Youth League team participating in the NBN State League. This involvement will allow our youth team members to play football all year round and we are confident this will be a great environment for them to become professional football players.
How exciting is it having Harry Kewell, Brett Emerton and Jason Culina playing in the A-League this season, I am sure this will push other clubs to look at marque players for this competition.

Our community meetings are going well and David Lowe will be heavily involved in our community program. David will be supported in this role by Rob Vanderveer who has a wealth of experience overseeing the Knights community program.
Our brand new website will be launched just in time for the season kick off. I am really impressed with the features we will have available to better communicate with our fans.
Lee Clarke is coming on board as our Performance Manager, Lee has a wealth of experience and is currently working with the Knights. Lee will be in charge of sports science and testing for all three of our teams.
In the next few weeks I will meet with the squadron to talk about the season and how they can support us in a positive way during our games.
