FOX SPORTS will broadcast the FOXTEL National Youth League 2017 Grand Final LIVE on Channel 505 with the decider to be played as a double header with the Hyundai A-League match between Central Coast Mariners and Perth Glory on Saturday 28 January 2017 at Central Coast Stadium, Football Federation Australia has announced.
Similar to last year’s FOXTEL National Youth League finale, this year’s Grand Final will be beamed into lounge rooms around the country showcasing some of Australia’s best young footballers.
“Fox Sports’ commitment to show the National Youth League Grand Final is tremendous news as it provides exposure of some of Australia’s best young talent,” said Head of the Hyundai A-League Greg O’Rourke.
“The FOXTEL National Youth League is an important part of the development of young players and a pathway to the Hyundai A- League. In addition to the Grand Final experience and an opportunity to win some silverware for the players, it showcases the next generation of professional footballers that underpin our game’s future.”
With the FOXTEL National Youth League regular season concluding this weekend, Melbourne City FC have already secured their spot in the Grand Final as they cannot be dislodged from first place in Conference A regardless of other results.
Melbourne City FC’s opponents will be decided in a thrilling climax to Conference B on Saturday with it all coming down to the result of the match between Sydney FC and the Central Coast Mariners at the Central Coast Mariners Centre of Excellence.
A win or draw for Sydney FC would see them progress while the Central Coast Mariners would advance if they can defeat the Sky Blues.
The FOXTEL National Youth League 2017 Grand Final will kick-off at 2pm AEDT with gates at Central Coast Stadium to open at 1.30pm.
