Central Coast Mariners have today fervently rejected social media speculation that club legend John Hutchinson has been told his “services will not be required” beyond Hyundai A-League 2014/15.
Hutchinson, together with his family and the club’s coaching staff, will make a decision regarding his playing future with the Mariners beyond this campaign in due course.
The Mariners have said club members, fans, and media will be informed of the decision when Hutchinson is ready.
However, regardless of their skipper’s decision, the Gosford club have revealed plans for Hutchinson to remain with the club in an off-field capacity once his distinguished playing days ultimately come to an end have been in the works for some time.
