Robbie Fowler may have a selection headache on his hands as Brisbane Roar travel south to face the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford.
The Roar have picked up steam with four games unbeaten, their best run of the 2019/20 campaign, following a 1-0 win against in-form Wellington Phoenix at Suncorp Stadium last weekend.
Mirko Muratovic and Brad Inman started in attack for the Queenslanders but the game changed when Dylan Wenzel-Halls came on to score the winner, while new acquisition Scott McDonald made his debut from the bench.
Aaron Amadi-Holloway, who has also been on the scoresheet this season, remained an unused substitute, while six-goal top scorer Roy O’Donovan missed out on Saturday.
Alen Stajcic’s Central Coast Mariners do not have that same problem and they failed to build on their epic win against Melbourne Victory, falling to a 3-0 defeat against Western United.
After each of the Mariners’ four wins this season, they have followed up with back-to-back defeats. The Yellow and Navy will seek to avoid that fate at Central Coast Stadium.
