Central Coast Mariners v Adelaide United: match preview

Central Coast Mariners have the chance to jump into the Hyundai A-League top six when they host in-form Adelaide United in Gosford on Saturday.

The Mariners’ recent resurgence hit a road block last time out, going down 3-1 to league-leaders Melbourne City.

It came at the end of two long road trips for Alen Stajcic’s side, and they’ll be eager to get back in front of their home fans at Central Coast Stadium.

They’ll hope home ground advantage plays a part as the Reds arrive in town with plenty of momentum.

Gertjan Verbeek’s side have won their last two games on the bounce, with Riley McGree’s late goal handing them a 1-0 win over Brisbane Roar on Sunday.
