Canberra United can expect a desperate Brisbane Roar to arrive in the nation’s capital as Round 4 of the Westfield W-League kicks off on Thursday night.
One of the pre-season favourites in many eyes, Roar have opened their 2019/20 campaign with back-to-back defeats at home.
While it’s not quite panic stations yet for Jake Goodship’s side, they won’t want to see the gap between themselves and the top four (currently six points) extend any further.
In contrast, United have enjoyed an excellent start to their season, with two wins from three matches including the 3-2 thriller against the Jets last weekend.
With home ground advantage and the likes of Karly Roestbakken, Elise Thorsnes, Katie Stengel and Camila in excellent touch, the Green Machine will have plenty of confidence heading into this one.
