Canberra United have confirmed the signing of former Western Sydney Wanderers forward Paige Nielsen for the Westfield W-League 2018/19 Season.
The American striker joins from WK League outfit Suwon UDC WFC, who play in Korea Republic, and has been included in the squad for their Round 3 trip to Newcastle Jets.

Head Coach Heather Garriock is confident that Nielsen’s arrival will help the capital side build on their impressive start, as they sit top of the Westfield W-League table with four points after two rounds.
She told the club’s official website: “Paige is not only a great footballer skill-wise, but her leadership qualities and winning mentality will also be very valuable for our team.

Nielsen added: “I can’t wait to start a new journey with a team that has an enormous amount of potential.
“I have seen the training grounds and understood the playing mentality, and I acknowledge that we have some incredible fans that I can’t wait to be playing in front of.”
