Cameron Devlin named January Nominee for Young Footballer of the Year

Cameron Devlin has been named the January nominee for Young Footballer of the Year.

21-year-old midfielder Devlin – who was awarded the Hyundai A-League Player of the Month for December – finds himself in the spotlight yet again after another impressive series of performances for Wellington Phoenix.

The ex-Sydney FC youngster did not miss a single minute of football as Ufuk Talay’s side racked up wins over Central Coast Mariners (2-1), Western Sydney Wanderers (2-0) and Newcastle Jets (2-1).

Devlin also featured in Phoenix’s 1-0 defeat to Brisbane Roar on January 18.

He is the second Phoenix starlet to be recognised for the Young Footballer of the Year award, after Reno Piscopo took out the December prize.
