Sydney FC skipper Alex Brosque expects the Sky Blues’ blistering start to the season will continue to reach new heights following Saturday’s second straight 4-0 victory.
Graham Arnold’s men added to last weekend’s Sydney Derby triumph with another eye-catching performance against Central Coast as Brosque, Bobo and Filip Holosko all hit the scoresheet again.
The Mariners finished with almost 60% of possession but could muster only two shots on goal to Sydney’s seven.

“I still think there is a lot of improvement in us. They had us running around for a fair bit of the game so that’s something we need to probably work out,” Brosque told ABC Grandstand.
“But again to score four goals, a couple of them were on the counter as well, it’s pleasing.
“It’s pleasing to know that even though we’ve got a long way to go we’re getting good wins at the moment.”
Brosque also paid tribute to the attacking polish added by Brazilian striker Bobo, who now has two goals in as many games.
“He gives us a lot of confidence going forward,” Brosque said of the former Besiktas man.
“Having Bobo just to add that little bit of a finish for us when we need a goal has been great.
“I think just all-round, the boys in the midfield are doing great, up top we’re keeping the ball and moving it around well. I just think all of our play is a lot better this year.”
