Brisbane Roar’s reshuffle has continued with the club announcing the release of utility players Corey Gameiro and Mitchell Oxborrow.
The pair follow Jade North, Massimo Maccarone and Corey Brown in exiting the Elimination Finalists, while Fahid Ben Khalfallah has retired.
Gameiro, a former Wellington Phoenix, Sydney FC and Melbourne City player, overcame three knee reconstructions to notch 18 appearances in his lone season in orange.
Oxborrow, meanwhile, was unable to establish him as a regular after making the switch from Perth Glory in the off-season.
The midfielder made four starts and featured 17 times in total, falling one match shy of his 50th appearance in the Hyundai A-League.
“BRFC would like to thank both Corey and Mitch for their contribution to the Club and we wish them the best of luck in the future,” Roar said in a statement.
