Tweet explained: Brisbane Roar announce major sponsor

Brisbane Roar Football Club have announced a two-year-deal with ActronAir, as the club’s new Principal and front-of-shirt partner for the Hyundai A-League team following a social media teaser campaign.

Brisbane had built up intrigue after a host of posts on their official Twitter, Facebook and Instagram hinting at the deal.

Roar had posted across their social media channels training photos which contained a ‘freeze’ filter before on Tuesday declaring “THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN FROZEN”.

The unique strategy eventually culminated in the Hyundai A-League club confirming ActronAir, Australia’s largest locally owned air conditioning manufacturer, as a new part of the Roar family.

“As a proudly Australian company that prides ourselves on high quality and consistent performance, the opportunity for ActronAir to partner with one of Queensland’s success stories was too good to pass up,” ActronAir Executive Chairman Robert Mundy said.

“The Roar have a proven track record of success across both the Hyundai A-League & Westfield W-League, and we look forward to doing our part to support them in continuing to excel in the seasons to come.”

Having established strong foundations with the local Brisbane & Queensland community for over 15 years, BRFC Managing Director, David Pourre, believes ActronAir will help build a bright future for the club.

“These are exciting times for our football club as we strive to achieve success both on and off the field in season 2018/19 and beyond. I’d like to personally welcome ActronAir to the Brisbane Roar family,” Pourre added.

“We’re looking forward to building a strong relationship with our new principal partner after committing their long-term future to the Roar.”

With a wide range of products specifically developed to thrive in the Australian climate, ActronAir is looking forward to continuing to support the local Queensland community and fans of the state’s only Hyundai A-League & Westfield W-League sides.

“Queensland in general, and Brisbane specifically, has been one of the core areas of focus for ActronAir since we opened our state branch over 15 years ago. As an Australian manufacture that designs and builds our systems right here in Australia, we’re dedicated to providing better air conditioning for how Australians really live,” ActronAir Head of Sales & Marketing Jamie Mair said.

“The Roar has a fantastic connection with the local community, and we look forward to bringing two proudly Australian brands together to better serve the Brisbane and South-East Queensland communities. We’re excited to Roar as One!”
