Carson Pickett’s first half goal has given Brisbane Roar a valuable three points on the road with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.
After last week’s big loss at home to Glory, Roar bounced back in style at Marconi Stadium on Friday night.
Roar’s Westfield Matildas keeper Mackenzie Arnold kept the visitors’ lead intact with a great save in the second half to keep out striker Rosie Sutton.
Tameka Butt with a good chance to make it two but Roar maintained their lead to win the match courtesy of their on-loan player from Seattle Reign.
