Sydney FC striker Bobo believes the Sky Blues’ stunning Hyundai A-League campaign won’t be complete without a championship trophy.
While Sydney have already secured the Premier’s Plate as the best side in the regular season and have set numerous records, their Brazilian centre-forward remains completely focused on reaching and winning the grand final.

Speaking at an event promoting Sydney’s friendly with Arsenal in July, Bobo underlined what is driving Graham Arnold’s team.
“It’s been a very good season for Sydney and now in the finals we hope to seal this great campaign by winning the grand final,” he said.
“That’s the main goal, get to the semi-final and then become champions – not only premiers but grand final champions.”
Sydney need four more points over their final two matches before the finals to surpass Brisbane Roar’s all-time record of 65 points in the A-League.
Roar achieved that feat in an 11-team competition, meaning they played four more regular season games than Sydney will.
Bobo is the Sky Blues’ leading goal-scorer in 2016/17 – his first season in Australia – with the 32-year-old having reached 14 goals in 25 games with a brace in Saturday night’s 3-0 win over Melbourne City.
