Scans this morning revealed Boogaard has a low grade hamstring tear which he suffered in the 3-0 win over Sydney FC on New Years Eve and resulted in him coming from the field in the 64th minute.
The diagnosis effectively rules the 26-year-old out of the trip to Hunter Stadium to tackle the Jets, his hamstring to be continually assessed meaning the club cannot put a specific time frame on how long he will be out of action.
Boogaard has started in all but one of the Reds- 14 matches so far this season.
