Sydney FC sharp-shooter Bobo has extended his lead in the Hyundai A-League Golden Boot race after netting again for the Sky Blues over the weekend.
The prolific Brazilian scored his 21st goal of the season to set the seal on Sydney FC’s 3-1 derby win over Western Sydney at a rain-soaked Allianz Stadium last night.
“I try to help my team and score goals,” Bobo told Fox Sports after the game.
“But the most important thing is three points.”

Sky Blues coach Graham Arnold undertook some rare tinkering with his starting formation, handing Matt Simon just a second start of the season and leaving skipper Alex Brosque on the bench.
“We try things in training and Simon and Brosquey are both good players,” said Bobo.
“It’s no problem for me.”
Polish whiz Adrian Mierzejewski confirmed his favouritism for the Johnny Warren Medal with an eye-catching brace to bring up a dozen goals in his debut season.
Sydney FC’s win was all the more impressive given their midweek travel to China for an AFC Champions League clash with Shanghai Shenhua.
“After ten hours [travelling] back from the last game in China, we tried to recover quickly,” said Bobo.
“It’s no problem for me – it’s good!”
