Melbourne City have confirmed goalkeeper Mark Birighitti has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
Birighitti, 28, joined the club in 2018 from then-Eredivisie outfit NAC Breda but found opportunities limited by the form by legendary Hyundai A-League gloveman and the now-retired Eugene Galekovic.

The Perth-born gloveman arrived on the domestic scene as Galekovic’s understudy at Adelaide United in 2008.
He featured prominently between the sticks for Newcastle Jets between 2012 and 2016, before joining then-Premier League outfit Swansea City.
