Roar striker Besart Berisha will serve a one-game suspension after the striker-s direct red card against Melbourne Heart last Friday night.
The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) consisting of Simon Micallef (Chair), Alan Davidson and Alan Contini convened to consider the following incident from Round 25 of the Hyundai A-League involving Berisha in or around the 49th minute of Brisbane Roar match against Melbourne Heart FC.
The MRP has the authority to consider the incident as Berisha was issued with a direct red card.
The MRP confirmed that Berisha will serve the minimum sanction of one (1) match, being the Mandatory Match Suspension.
