Aussies Abroad | Ben Halloran nets for Dusseldorf

Midfielder Ben Halloran prospered this morning, netting the equaliser for Fortuna Dusseldorf against 1860 Munich.

In Halloran’s 12th appearance for the season, he scored his second goal, netting in the 70th minute of the fixture, with the 1-1 draw leaving Dusseldorf mid-table.

The 21 year old was withdraw with nine mintures remaining, as neither side could find a winner.

Over in the Netherlands, Jason Davidson and Tommy Oar both player full matches for their clubs, although neither could lead their side to victory.

Davidson-s Heracles secured a 1-1 draw with SC Cambuur, whilst Oar-s Utrecht were hammered 5-2 by RKC Waalwijk.

Fellow fringe Socceroos members James Holland and Curtis Good also managed full matches.

Holland was on the wrong side of a 3-1 score line in the Vienna derby, whilst Good had better fortune, helping Dundee progress to the quarter-finals of the Scottish FA Cup as they defeated St Mirren 2-1.

Socceroos Captain Lucas Neill has played his first competitive fixture in over two months, featuring for the Blackburn U/21 team as they played Tottenham.

Neill, only given clearance to play hours before the contest, played the full 90 minutes.
