Young shot-stopper Adam Pearce has made quite an impression on new coach Alen Stajcic, earning a new two-year deal with the Central Coast Mariners.
Pearce, 22, has signed on with the Gosford outfit until the end of the Hyundai A-League 2020/21 Season and joins defender Kye Rowles as the latest to commit their future to the Mariners this week.

Joining the club on a youth contract five years ago, Pearce earned his first senior deal in August 2017 and has gone on to make six appearances in the Hyundai A-League.
“To sign for the next two years is a fantastic opportunity. As a keeper, you need to do everything to prepare yourself to be ready when called upon, working with [goalkeeper coach] Matt Nash has been great for my development and I can’t thank him enough for the time and energy he has put in with me,” Pearce told the Mariners’ official website.

.“It’s a dream to play in the Hyundai A-League, this year I earned opportunities to play which has been the most rewarding part of my career so far.
“Every day you turn up to training and on the weekend, you want to be playing, that’s something every footballer aspires to, so hopefully I can earn that number one spot.”
Mariners boss Alen Stajcic, who signed a three-year deal as the club’s head coach last week, said the contract extension was a reward for the gloveman’s hard work.
“For a young, aspiring goalkeeper like Adam Pearce who has progressed through the youth ranks, it’s great to keep him at the club,” Stajcic said.
